The German Revolution was victorious

Five years ago, the workers of Germany rose up. Neither Junkers, nor Freikorps, nor the class traitors of the SPD could stop the revolution.

The year is now 1924. After the ten long years of the Great War, peace treaties have finally been signed. The guns of war and revolution have fallen silent. What began as a war between the Entente and the Central Powers ended with a desperate attempt by the French and British imperialists - and their Italian Fascist allies - to contain the flame of workers' revolution that seemed destined to consume all bourgeois Europe. They were successful, but only just.

From the ashes of three empires - the Russian, the German, and the Austrian - the red flag has risen. From the Rhine to the Urals, and onward to the distant Pacific coast, factories belong to the workers and the land belongs to the peasants. Markets have been abolished, and economic planning is the order of the day. German engineers are crossing the vast Russian expanses, sharing their technical knowledge and helping to kick-start the world's first socialist industrialization drive.

In Socialist Germany, Einstein, Planck and Heisenberg are unlocking the secrets of the atom and the universe.

The old capitalist powers, assembled in the League of Nations, look in fear upon the new workers' state, and anxiously search for a way to keep their own working classes in line. Perhaps that energetic Italian prime minister, Mussolini, has the right idea...

The year is 1924, and no one expects the peace to last. The revolution has been fought to a standstill, but it has gained more than anyone could have dreamed just a decade ago. The liberation of Humanity has begun.
